The Expected Hybrid: Chevrolet Volt
The very first Chevy Volt was sold last Wednesday at Tom Bell Chevrolet after only 2 hours of being at the dealership.
Many good reviews have been written in the past weeks about this hybrid model and its new improved technology. Jay Yerman, sales manager of Tom Bell Chevrolet said: “There’s no question it will transform the industry,” “It’s the stepping stone to the next leap electric cars will take.”
The Chevy Volt is an electric vehicle with a gasoline engine to use in case the battery dies. Battery fully charged ( aprox. 10 hours) can drive up to 35 miles before the gas engine kicks in and supplies energy for another 375 miles.
The 2011 model is currently priced at $41.015, offset by a $7,500 federal tax credit. And, the first 500 Volt buyers anywhere will receive the $500 240-volt cord for free.
